My Website is Ugly because I made it

Some small notes:

• I don’t think this site is ugly and I didn’t even really build it. Though I did customize it, and ultimately made it look a little worse.

• By my website is ugly, I really mean my website doesn’t look how I want it to, but im just going to stick with the original wording

Taylor is ultimately making the point that they don’t care if people think their site is ugly, because they made it, and that’s how they wanted it. But the title makes me think of more than that, instead of just my website is ugly, because I wanted it this way
I also think, my website is ugly because that’s the best I can do.

I am not a graphic designer, I am not a web developer, I am, as the title page says, a man who just wanted a website. And so I did what I could to get this up and running. And even though it’s not perfect, when I navigate to iamfern.net and get greeted with picture of my face, I can’t help but smile.

This principle applies to more than just websites, it applies to any hobby in general. I like to cook, I like to sew, I like to tinker around with electronics. I am not great at any of these things, but I enjoy them. It’s so easy now to easily find the best of the best online, to compare yourself to people who do this for a living, or have been doing it far longer than you, or are just straight up better than you.

Ultimately it doesn’t matter. Go out there, find the things you like, go make some ugly things, and have some fun along the way.
